Use the everyday reminders
Keep a reusable bottle where you will see it, bring water when you go out, or serve it with meals. A slice of lemon or lime can add flavor if you enjoy it.
Skip the universal quota
Fluid needs vary with age, activity, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and other factors. Food and beverages both contribute to fluid intake. A single water target does not fit every reader.
Choose one small change
Make water easier to choose instead of a sugary drink. Start with one familiar moment, such as lunch, and make that choice convenient. If your care team has given you a fluid restriction or specific intake plan, follow that guidance.
